There have been many words for this idea across time and space.

- The German word is Sehnsucht — the intense, bittersweet sting of yearning for something out of reach because it is indefinable; an ideal imagined, never actualized. The wish to put lightning in a bottle.
While the French might simply call it that je ne sais quoi, the word sillage works better. The literal definition is "the wake of a ship." From the French verb siller, “to cut through water,” sillage is the lingering trail left behind a presence. Perfumers use it to describe the fragrant "wake" of scent.
There are many words for this feeling but The Sultry Peasant does not waste her time trying to define it further. She doesn’t need to. Because she is what these words mean. And you don’t have to define what you embody.
